Playing catchup on these old episodes. The Nevermind lyric that I’ve been turning over in my mind lately is “I love myself/ better than you” (from “On a Plain”).
Does it mean: “I love myself more than I love you”?
Or: “I am better at loving myself than you are at loving me”?
I feel like those are the main two possibilities. (Like, when I listen to the song, my reading ping-pongs between those two.) But it also might could mean:
“I am better at loving myself than I am at loving you”
Or even:
“I am better at loving myself better than you are at loving yourself”
