The Overview: Back to the Future Part II

bttf2All fans of the Back to the Future trilogy (or really anyone who has read any article on the internet over the past month) know that October 21, 2015 is the date that Doc and Marty visit in Back to the Future Part II.  Many commentaries on the upcoming date point out what we don’t have today, including flying cars, hoverboards, and Jaws 19.  But here at Overthinking It, we’d much prefer to focus on what we do have: a brand new Overview for Back to the Future Part II!

The Overview for Back to the Future Part II is the perfect way to celebrate the series on October 21 and any time in… THE FUTURE. Join Pete Fenzel, Ryan Sheely, Richard Rosenbaum, and Rachel D as they tackle the big ideas behind the film, including how and why Marty changed between the first and second films, what genre this film is (we posit “slapstick horror”), and what the film’s vision of 2015 says about the state of pop culture in both the 1980s and today. It is a wide-ranging conversation that is equal parts in-depth analysis and light-hearted banter about what is both great and a bit silly about this film.

To get in on the fun, just purchase our commentary track in our online store for only $1.99.  At the beginning of the audio track, we’ll provide you with the instructions on how to sync our commentary track up with your DVD or stream of the film, and once you hit play, it will be like you are watching the film with your friends from Overthinking It right in your own living room.
