I know this isn’t a very popular opinion to express, but the more I see of Rihanna and the more I learn about her, the more I can see why someone might lose their temper with her. She just seems like a real handful, total drama queen. Doesn’t excuse Chris Brown beating her like a drum, but I don’t exactly think she is a ray of sunshine either.
Regarding “Walk”: for me Falling Down‘s pivotal moment was “I’m the bad guy?” and it seems the video maker is remembering the movie as if Michael Douglas WASN’T the bad guy.
Regarding “Man Down”: first of all I find it interesting that you refer to the man as an abusive lover when most of the other writing on this I’ve seen refers to him as a rapist. Secondly, I’d have to say that the reaction to this is highly disproportionate to the actual content of the video, which means this is either the Rihanna camp stirring things up for the publicity (my guess) or some people who seriously do not understand how deeply their gender bias runs.
