Okay, I use the word proof loosely, here, because I did find this on Wikipedia. But check it out: Komodo dragons (already a crazy animal because they are freaking dragons and have red saliva) like to swallow their prey whole, kind of like a boa constrictor. Usually they just gulp it down (dislocating their jaws if necessary), but if the prey is big enough, this process can take a looooong time. Again, like a boa constrictor.
Boas pretty much have to put up with this. Komodo dragons get impatient. Let’s say that a dragon has a largish animal – a goat, for instance – lodged in its jaws. The dragon will repeatedly ram the goat carcass into a tree, pounding the meat down its throat like it was driving in a nail. Komodo dragons have been known to knock the trees over during this process.
